This year brought a theme “A New National Banking Technology Architecture” which aimed to form a white paper to be proposed to the authority in line with the regulations in the Banking & Financial sector.

The APCONEX 2006 has been held in conjunction with The XVI Perbanas Congress, and officially opened by the President of Republic Indonesia, H.E. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

1.	Conference of APCONEX 2006 The conference delivered the meetings all in plenary sessions. In the morning sessions presented a Keynote Speaker followed by Presentation from some of “stake holders” in financial and banking sector and in afternoon session the meeting ended by a panel discussion, presented panelists from Bank Industry as user and from IT / banking technology industries as provider Conference Participants : 322 persons Speaker : 30 persons (speakers, presenters & panelists) Moderator : 4 persons
2.	Exhibition of APCONEX 2006 The exhibition area occupied more than 1500sqm of gross space; inside Assembly Hall 3 and Lobby Assembly Hall. Total Exhibitor : 44 companies Total nett space exhibition area : 741 sqm Total sponsor companies : 23 companies Total Visitor and Invitations APCONEX 2006 for 3 days in a row are 2535 persons
3.	Congress of Perbanas The Perbanas Congress was held at Merak Room at the Lower Level area. Congress aimed to form new Perbanas Executives Committee for year 2006 – 2011.
